Julian Whitelegge, Ph.D., leads the proteomics division of the Pasarow Mass Spectrometry Laboratory at UCLA and is appointed as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences. Dr. Whitelegge has wide experience in protein and peptide mass spectrometry with specific expertise with the integral membrane proteins that constitute about one third of the proteome and a larger proportion of drug targets. Dr. Whitelegge's research goals include application of intact protein mass spectrometry to integral membrane proteins and development of two dimensional separation technologies that allow complete coverage proteomics of membrane fractions. Dr. Whitelegge has consulted for companies such as bioStrategies Group and MediChem.
